Fire and Ice Ch. 4As Kita approached the sparse woods that surrounded Lake Kilma, he caught Irwin's relatively fresh scent. In ten years, Irwin's scent had changed in the way all scents do with age, but Irwin's was more... demonic. He had spent a decade in the faerie realm, so who knows what's happened to him? Kita barely recognized Irwin's scent, but the power in it was undeniable; it also gave him a prick of the familiar pain he used to feel around the half-demon. Kita continued to walk when he suddenly caught an entirely new scent. He looked upwards, but it was too late, for a man sprung from the tree above, pushing him to the ground. Fire and Ice Ch. 3Little did Kita know, he wouldn't see Irwin again for another ten years. He spent the years doing the same things he always did: wake up, hunt, bathe and sleep. Sometimes, when he was feeling bored, he would terrorize a mortal or two. But even that lost is meaning. Kita sighed. Maybe he would go to the nearby Jungle or Lake Kilma to converse with the faeries that hated humanity as much as he did. His outward appearance changed quite a bit over ten years. His mane was thicker and shinier, the blue streaks more noticeable and numerous. His horns were still hidden under his bangs, but were noticeable if one looked hard enough. Fire and Ice Ch. 2Kita slowly ran his claw through his jet black mane, feeling the strands of hair that loosened themselves from each other. He looked down at his feet, the claws flexing and digging into the earth below. His tail whipped slowly back and forth. He looked down at his large hands, each finger was muscular and was tipped with a jet black claw, much like his toes. His left hand was ribbed with scar tissue from a human-induced injury when he was younger. His ruby eyes looking from left to right, Kita got up and walked into the sunlight to hunt. Kita spent most nights in a cave that was on the outskirts of the Gato Grottoes which was near the waterfaFire and Ice Ch. 2
